If you had asked me four years ago, where I would be right now, I would have described this incredible plan of going to a large state school, joining a sorority and spending every Saturday at an SEC football game.

However, life doesn’t always end up as planned.

I decided to come to Lipscomb and joined a social club at a school without a football team, quite the opposite of the place I had imagined I would be a few years earlier. Despite Lipscomb being different than my plan, it has brought an abundance of blessings into my life.

These blessings have manifested in many different ways, but Delta Omega has been one of the biggest joys during my time at Lipscomb. My exposure to Delta Omega began the fall semester of my senior year of high school when I met Alex Ondrus. Alex was the most bright, joyful person I had ever met. She told me about Lipscomb and her social club Delta Omega. We fostered a friendship from the time I stepped on campus through when she later became my big sister and my best friend. I met my roomie and bestie pal Paige as we pledged together and {survived} stomp together. I grew closer to my seven Village roommates because of Delta Omega and they became my home away from home. The names I’ve listed here do not begin to list all of the girls who have impacted my life. Delta Omega has been an incredible support system from the instant that I joined.

Because of Delta Omega: I had a team of 90 girls helping me run and win my campaign for SGA Secretary.

I achieved my dream of organizing my favorite part of Delta Omega as recruitment chair.

I have over 150 new friends because of the three school years I have been involved in Delta Omega.

I met my absolute best friends.

Delta Omega has genuinely made me a better person. Delta Omega fosters intentionality, care, and vulnerability between its members which yields a successful community of girls who are loyal and true to one another. Delta Omega helped me grow in all of these aspects of my life and more.

People always ask why I joined Delta Omega and the answer is because of the people. I am constantly surrounded by people who have incredible passion and love for others. When I was rushing, my goal for a social club was to be surrounded by people who would push me to become a truer version of myself. I wanted to be surrounded by girls who were so passionate that it overflowed into every aspect of their lives.

That is what I found.
