Meet The Officers: Apparel Chair Bethanie Jones

I knew that I wanted to go to Lipscomb when I hit 8th grade (yeah I know.. WILD.) When I came to campus for the first time it felt like where I was supposed to be- but everything was about to become such new territory in my life here. When I started at Lipscomb I didn’t even I know what a social club was... let alone that I would eventually be a part of one.
Time moves so fast people. The cool thing in college is that you are able to decide how you want to invest the time God has given you for the four years you have here. After going through the rushing process and getting to know the upperclassman who introdced me to the club, I knew that I wanted to invest my time in Delta Omega. Every girl that I know in DO and get to know even more is so grounded and know how to love you well.
So many girls in Delta Omega have invested in giving real advice, praying over me, and drinking more cups of coffee than I can keep track of. From late nights of learning hip hop Singarama numbers (starbucks runs too) to getting down on the dance floor at formals, I have made some of my best college memories with the greek letters of Delta Omega. TRULY I have met some of my best friends and I am STILL continuing to form friendships in the club.
What is so beautiful about Delta Omega is that everyone wants to get to know each other’s stories. I had never heard someone give their testimony until being in Delta Omega. These girls want to know one another on a deeper level rather than just going to events together, having a meeting once a week, etc. etc. It’s so much more than that. I think it is safe to say that
Delta Omega is the ultimate girl squad/ team of prayer warriors/ bunch of soul sisters there is.
Amen to that.
I am so blessed to be on the officers team this year to serve and see Delta Omega from so many different angles. Thank you to all of the girls who have made me feel welcomed to by myself and that my value in Christ is vibrant and real.
