Philanthropy

philanthropy rundown

Delta Omega makes serving others a priority through on-campus philanthropy events and service projects in the Nashville area. In the fall, Delta Omega hosts the Mr. Lipscomb pageant. Men from Lipscomb compete in a series of competitions including formal wear and talent. Judges score the pageant and crown the contestant with the highest score Mr. Lipscomb. Delta Omega raises money through Mr. Lipscomb for our philanthropy, Best Buddies. Best Buddies is a nationwide program that facilitates community for people with physical or intellectual disabilities. Best Buddies fosters relationships and works to build bridges between students with and without disabilities.

In the spring, Delta Omega teams up with Theta Psi to host Full Moon Festival. Full Moon is a 50's themed dance and a favorite on campus. Students dress in their best 50's wear and enjoy live music from their peers. Delta Omega and Theta Psi choose a different organization each year to donate the money raised from Full Moon.
